Python for Data Science

This course is  part of the Data Science MicroMasters program provided by University of California San Diego. To earn the course certificate, I had to successfully complete two projects and pass the proctored exam.

The course introduced me to a collection of open-source Python tools needed to manipulate, analyze, and visualize complex datasets used in data science, including :

  • Pandas
  • Jupyter notebooks
  • Numpy
  • Matplotlib

I learned to use these tools within the context of solving compelling data science problems across many societal domains (politics, business, and science).

After completing this course, I was able to find answers within large datasets by using Python tools to:

  • import data
  • explore data
  • analyze data
  • learn from data
  • visualize data
  • generate easily sharable reports
