Big Data Foundations – Level 2

This learning path is a series of three courses listed below and offered by IBM Cognitive Class. To earn this badge I had to satisfactory complete all three courses.

The learning path is designed to teach students fundamentals of Big Data terms and concepts. Next, it introduces tool Big Data tool sets such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark Frameworks. These tools enable analyzing large amounts of data to identify patterns and trends that might otherwise go unnoticed.

I learned Spark and its operations including RDDs and DataFrames, and the various libraries associated with the Spark Core (MLlib, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, GraphX).
